Introduction
The 2nd Edition introduced a new set of special 16mm dice, two of which - the artillery and scatter dice - would remain through many editions and boxed games (and still in use for The Horus Heresy, Necromunda, and Adeptus Titanicus).
Artillery
The original artillery dice featured the word "MISFIRE" on the opposite face to the 2, with all other opposite faces adding up to 14. In later versions (and international), it was swapped for an exclamation mark flash symbol, with all opposite faces adding up to 10.

Scatter
The original scatter dice featured the word "HIT" within a target symbol, the word later being removed and a double-ringed target symbol being used instead.

Sustained Fire
The short lived sustained fire dice featured a lightning strike (with sparks) symbol on the opposite face to the 3.
